Date : 10 October 2007
From : 6:00pm
Category : Politics
Location : 12180
Event Description :
Normally a general meeting of Democracy for the Hudson-Mohawk Regiong at the 1199 SEIU Albany Headquarters, the group has instead chosen to use this night to support local activist Sue Haynes in her bid for the Brunswick Town Council.
From the organizers:"Action night to help our own long time activist Sue Haynes bring a progressive voice to the Brunswick Town Council! Sue almost won last time and now we can make the difference in helping her win. We will phonebank and help her organize walking lists for her canvasses. We will go out to celebrate afterwards. There will be a special surprise from DFA National for our three endorsed candidates, Sue, Ken Zalewski, and Doug Bullock at 8:00pm... don't miss it!"
While the start time is 6:00pm, late arrivals are welcome.
Those not comfortable with phonebanking can assist the candidate in performing "walk lists" for canvassing that evening. As walk lists take time, the candidate will be helped by assistance making and organizing the lists.
