Event Description :
"To restart and revitalize the Albany chapter of the Alliance for Democracy"

The Alliance for Democracy was founded in 1995 to "free people from the corporate domination of politics......" The Albany chapter of the group has been on hiatus since 2008, and is now intent on renewing its mandate on the heels of the recent Supreme Court decision allowing corporations unlimited campaign funding. From the organziers: "... every progressive organization is threatened. We must unite to end corporate personhood and keep power in the hands of 'we the people.'"
