A protest of a fundraiser looking to support the legal fund of newly convicted felon, Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno.

From the Albany Times Union:
A member of the commission responsible for investigating wrongdoing by lawmakers is running a fund-raiser for former Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno, the newly convicted felon who named him to the state panel.

Legislative Ethics Commission Commissioner John J. Nigro, who had been active with the Joe Bruno Legal Defense Fund before Bruno's conviction Dec. 7, is continuing his support as the former Republican leader awaits sentencing for two fraud convictions.

Incensed citizens will be present at the fundraiser, wielding mops, brooms, and signs calling for a "Clean Up of Corruption, to get Money Out of Politics."

From the organizers: "We will be there to protest Corruption, and say that not only does Joe Bruno have to go, but so do Joe Bruno 'ethics,' and the culture of Corruption and Big Money Influence."
