Clifton Park: Rally to encourage Rep Murphy to support health care public option

Date : 5 November 2009       From : 5:30pm   To : 6:30pm    iCal
Category : Health / Care Location : 12065

Event Description :
"Congressman Murphy: Make Us Proud"

A gathering outside Congressman Scott Murphy's Clifton park office, to persuade him to keep the public option on the looming health care bill in the US House of Representatives.

Participants are asked to signup to attend at http://pol.moveon.org/event/standforhealthcare/99286

From the organizers:
All summer long we kept the pressure on Congressman Murphy to support the public option as the best tool to drive down costs and introduce competition to insurance markets and he has done so.

Now is the final push with the House set to vote on its bill next week and this is no time for us to be silent. The public option is only in the final bills because of all the hard work we have done. Let's keep working until the end and let Congressman Murphy know that we are counting on him to represent us by voting for the bill.

Whether you have attended every health care event this year or none this is the event to be at! History is being made, real reform is within reach, stand with us as we call on Congressman Murphy to represent the true will of the majority and pass real health care reform.
