Clifton Park: Rally and door-to-door campaigning for Murphy for Congress - "Labor to Neighbor"

Date : 28 March 2009       From : 10:00am   To : 1:00pm    iCal Google Calendar
Category : Politics Location : 12065

Event Description :
A rally with congressional candidate Scott Murphy, followed by labor union members and other supporters of Murphy, traveling door-to-door to spread information about the candidate.

From Denis Hughes (President of the 2-1/2 million member NYS AFL-CIO):
The New York State AFL-CIO is pleased to announce its endorsement of Scott Murphy. In a relatively short period of time, Scott has cultivated a strong relationship with local unions in his district, and has shown a keen awareness and understanding of the issues, needs and concerns of working men and women.

As a result of Scott's commitment to the ideals of working people, he has received substantial support within the local labor movement in the 20th congressional district. Our executive board recognized his strong support, and has acted to ensure that labor's extensive grassroots initiative will be implemented immediately.

We are confident that with labor's support, Scott Murphy will be elected to Congress on March 31st.
